Real Madrid are interested in signing Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023, according to . The report in the Spanish news outlet has claimed that the reigning La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners are willing to pay as much as €90 million in transfer fees for the 20-year-old Croatia international central defender.
German club RB Leipzig, though, will not sell Gvardiol for anything less than €100 million, which means that Madrid will have to increase their offer to secure the services of the 20-year-old, who is doing extremely well for Croatia at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Gvardiol has made eight starts and five substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for RB Leipzig so far this season. The defender has also scored one goal in four UEFA Champions League games for the German club this campaign, and has played four times for Croatia at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
